In recent weeks, I have worked with our local MP, Helen Grant, County Councillors and Kent County Council officers, plus our local bus providers to ensure sufficient provision for children returning to school. I welcome the commitment from KCC to provide additional services from private operators to ensure sufficient capacity on our local routes and thank them for their responsiveness in already providing this shadowing service on two busy routes. I would like to thank Arriva for their flexibility in redesignating services as school services to maximise capacity for routes that already service specific schools and to the drivers for their commitment in keeping these services running.
